~Jeff~
Get down, do you? Jeff started getting down on the bass in 2000
after the allure of the lows took Jeff back to his musical beginnings.
Jeff
started playing the Tuba in the 2nd grade (for some reason, which cannot
be explained by the usual methods of science or rational thinking). Ever
hear the William Tell overture played on the tuba (hey, I remember that
show, wasn’t that circa 1985)? Unfortunately, this rare gem has
been lost from the archives. After 12 years of tuba tooting, Jeff re-joined
the ranks of the sane and well balanced. Throughout his youth, Jeff dabbled
in piano and started playing the guitar in high school. College and beyond
provided years of musical discovery; you may still find Jeff at festivals
in the summer, arenas in the winter, or the local pub any weekend soaking
in the sonic vibe of a live show. His mind was further warped in the college
years when he probed the deepest, darkest corners of the universe as a
physics student and explorer of cosmic mystery. Jeff purchased his first
bass in 2000 and hasn’t stopped grooving since. Here begins the
story of BeatnikBrown.
Jeff was born and currently
resides in the Philadelphia area. When not rocking out, Jeff enjoys skiing,
hiking, mountaineering, and a host of outdoor activities.
He is an avid traveler, having been as far as Istanbul & Hong Kong
to the East and Juneau, Alaska to the West. Jeff has only missed two states
in his extensive travels across the USA (name them for free tickets to
the next BnB show!) Jeff looks forward to grooving with BeatnikBrown for
many years to come.
